Ownership Status: I own this vehicle.
Recommendation: I recommend this vehicle.

Pros Good looking Cheap on gas Nice interior, holds up well Good factory speakers with right tuning Awesome handling Good power, its no Ferrari but it will move Very easy to maintain or modify, big tuner market (although I'm not into rice rockets) LS has sunroof and ABS Air Conditioning works great

Cons Insurance is expensive, because they are one of the top stolen cars Milano Red paint is hard to keep looking good, attracts cops Legs hurt on long trips, though that will happen with most cars. Get a truck or suv if you want to be perfectly comfortable

Good looking car, but the 98 face lift is a definite improvement

Probably one of the best looking interiors in this year and price range

Red paint oxidizes, there is a spot near the rear wheels where water collects and forms rust

Everything in the interior is very tight and is holding up well. The cd player slot is pretty cheap plastic, so even if u secure your CD player with the cage tabs, a thief could just snap the plastic out to get to your deck easily

An american v6 or v8 will outperform it, but its speedy and sounds great once you get above 4000rpm

Stock handling is decent, but with strut bars and such this car will handle amazingly. 4 wheel ABS disc brakes provide excellent stopping (don't be cheap and buy the RS without ABS, it has saved my life and it is very useful in winter)

I get over 500km to 50L of gas, and thats with me driving at high revs a lot of the time. Who needs a prius when you can just buy a used integra for 1/10th the price and still get almost as good mileage, and better performance

Kind of basic, not many luxury feature. Drivers seat does have lumbar support, but i wish i had seat heaters being in Canada. Acura factory rims are not the coolest rims around, there were a few choices but none that great. Only 1 12v lighter for charging phone/ipod and using radar detector. So not too many extra features on this car.

The used price was very cheap. Gas and parts are cheap, you don't need premium gas/oil/fluids, just change everything regularly with a decent quality product. Insurance for 17 year old male is quite bad.

Great value, but insurance might be cheaper for somebody older and if you put in an immobilizer etc



As my first car, it was definitely a good choice. They are pretty cheap used, though they are more expensive than the civics they are based off of. But it is worth it because they look much better, exterior and interior wise. The sunroof is a nice feature on the LS, and the ABS is a lifesaver. I would highly recommend getting one if you are looking for a cheap fun coupe, but make sure you take some anti-theft measures. And a radar detector, as you will want to speed in this car all the time.
