Introduction
What a fabulous vehicle. I bought it as a winter car, and I couldn't be more impressed with what you get for a relatively low price. It will be hard to give it up...
'06 A3 2.0T DSG
Exterior Styling - 9
Should get better wheels- but otherwise, very stylish.
Interior Styling - 10
Usual Audi perfection.
Exterior Build/Materials Quality - 10
Nothing wrong here.
Interior Build/Materials Quality - 10
Again, an Audi strong point.
Engine Performance - 10
I couldn't ask for more speed out of a 2.0T! At high revs, the exhaust note is addictive.
Handling/Braking - 10
The brakes can get touchy if you really step on them- but otherwise, the handling is second to none and it's very easy to drive. "Nimble" is the word for it.
Fuel Efficiency - 10
32MPG on the highway, or 0-60 in 6.2 seconds? How about both?
Available Features/Options - 10
MANY. So don't add them up- the price grows quicker than the option list does.
Cost of Ownership - 10
Very easy to maintain and to own.
Value - 9
Great base price, but like I said, watch the options list.
Conclusion
When I think about it, the A3 2.0T DSG is actually a more impressive car than the '00 A6 2.7T I had. How cars have progressed! This is a little-known gem, and it's just the thing if you're looking for a small car that does everything exceedingly well.
