Introduction
I recently traded in my 2005 330Ci for a 2008 335i coupe, fully expecting a big jump in performance and refinement. Big jump is an understatement, I am very impressed with the new 3 series. Every element of the classic E46 is inherent in the E92, but amplified to a whole new level with some new elements thrown in. A spectacular buy and an amazing performer.

Exterior Styling - 10
Sexy, sleek, aggressive, mean, everything I could ask for in a coupe from the headlights and taillights to the exhaust tips and window profile.

Interior Styling - 10
Very sporty, edgy, and elegant at the same time. Everything is centered around the driver, yet the rear passengers still get cupholders and their own climate controls (not the case in E46).

Exterior Build/Materials Quality - 10
Everything looks like its built by pristine materials from top to bottom, especially headlights, kidney grill, and mesh grill in front bumper.

Interior Build/Materials Quality - 9
Materials seem to be high quality, but the red leather can get dirty easily and the black plastic side-panels and door sills easily get scuffed by dirty shoes.

Engine Performance - 10
I couldn't ask for a better performer, it enters E46 M3 territory even. Easily tune-able, too.

Handling/Braking - 9
I'd give it a 10 for tight handling and great on-the-spot braking, but it feels just the slightest bit looser with steering than the E46.

Fuel Efficiency - 9
Fares well in the city and exceptional on highway.

Available Features/Options - 10
You name it, BMW has it, though you might need to special order your vehicle if you want it specifically tailored with your favorite options.

Cost of Ownership - 9
Options can really boost up the MSRP, but compared to the competition its still a damn well priced car. Insurance rates can be expensive if you're a young driver, especially when you have previous tickets.

Value - 10
Absolutely the best car under 50K if you want a mix of sport and luxury.

Conclusion
Absolutely breathtaking at all angles, the best bang-for-your-buck performer, simply trounces the A/S4, C350, IS 350, and G37. Its closest competitor will be the S5, although for a base sticker price of 10K more than the 335, an S5 is hard to justify. Best overall package, any kid's dream car, and most importantly, will definitely attract some hot girls ;)
