- -Expensive to keep running ($1000+ per visit)
- -Difficult to work on, busy engine compartment
- -Underdesigned interior plastic parts have broken off
- -Retractable headlights/antenna are a perennial problem
- -Shock mounts and suspension joints not designed for bad roads
- -Not for people over 6 feet tall
- -Rear seats are claustrophobic for adults
- -Not good in deep (3"+) snow
- -Just getting old

Conclusion
Retrospectively an under-appreciated effort on Ford's part to make a futuristic, economical, nimble, and fun cars for young people. The collaboration and later assimilation of Mazda is now proving the only hope for Ford to make competitive cars.
