Introduction
2002 Honda Accord LX VTEC 4-cyl.
Exterior Styling - 8
Pretty good not great. Best seen from behind.
Interior Styling - 7
A few upgrades would be nice. I don't really much care for the green-backlit CD/Radio.
Exterior Build/Materials Quality - 5
The body of the car itself is good, but the paint is HORRIBLE!
Interior Build/Materials Quality - 9
Seats aren't as comfortable as they could be.
Engine Performance - 10
It's no V6, but when you need power, it's there.
Handling/Braking - 4
Heavy braking can be a scary experience. The brakes are very spongy.
Fuel Efficiency - 9
I get around 27/30 mpg city/highway.
Available Features/Options - 5
Not a whole lot of exciting extras come standard in this generation of Accord.
Cost of Ownership - 10
It's been a real easy car to take care of.
Value - 10
Held it's resale value really well.
Conclusion
The 2002 Accord is a great vehicle to own. It does everything it should and more. It comes with a few surprises such as an unusually powerful four cylinder engine.
