Introduction
An economical sporty commuter car with good safety ratings
Exterior Styling - 7
Good for a econo box.
Interior Styling - 10
Love it
Exterior Build/Materials Quality - 5
The fenders rattle in the wind! Even on the show room floor they will rattle. My dealer tried to fix it but unfortunatly they still rattle.Suspension is too soft!On my last road trip everytime we went over the slightest dip in the road you could feel the suspension bottoming out!
Interior Build/Materials Quality - 9
More road isolation! Thicker glass with a tint!
Engine Performance - 5
Great HP but pathetic torque. It could make your commute dangerous when nothing happens when you hit the gas.
Handling/Braking - 10
Great! I would like to see the braking better than 130ft! Why not? Although still good.
Fuel Efficiency - 8
Advertised at 5.7L/100km hwy and 8.2L/100km city and I am achieving an average of 7.6L/100km. On the hwy the best I have achieved is 6.4L/100km.
Available Features/Options - 8
I would like to see HID lights and a 4 door wagon version.
Cost of Ownership - 6
The first service costs $200. and a bit. All they are doing is a tire rotation and inspecting cv boots and tie rods and brakes? They arent doing anything? This service should be free! I probably will skip this service and inspect it myself.
Value - 9
Could have costs a bit less. Fit and finish could improve on the fenders and wind/road noise could be better.
Conclusion
A great econo box that is very sporty and fun to drive.Due to the lack of torque you will become good at timing when to jump into traffic. You must hit the gas well in advance to wind the motor up where it shines.I would prefer a wagon civic four door.I like it!
