Introduction
Every rich person, non-celebrity status', favourite SUV.
Exterior Styling - 8
Its pretty good, better than the X5s and the MLs.
Interior Styling - 6
Plasticky look.
Exterior Build/Materials Quality - 7
The metallic paints cost a fortune, the wheels cost a fortune but in the end it does not look bad.
Interior Build/Materials Quality - 5
Navigation unit is 10k, seats are okay, plastic bonanza ...
Engine Performance - 10
It is very good at being fast at fast, but it is very slow at being good - do you get what I mean? If anyone wanted an SUV as a supercar, they would get the ML63 or the Range Rover Supercharged. Nothing else to say.
Handling/Braking - 7
For an SUV, it is alright breaking.
Fuel Efficiency - 3
Buy a semi-trailer.
Available Features/Options - 10
Twenty billion options all overpriced.
Cost of Ownership - 4
People think you are a snob and show you how they think you are a snob by swiping their keys along the side of your car. It isn't a SUV as you cannot take it offroading.
Value - 7
Listen, if you want to have a good-value SUV, that you can take out of the city the X5 is for you. If you need an off-road vehicle, and don't want to be too obnoxious, the ML-Class is where you go. But if you hate both tthe X5 and ML, the Porsche Cayenne is probably what to go for.
Conclusion
Porsche AG are a great sports-car manufacturer. I said 'sports-car', not 'SUV-car'. The only models that are worthwhile for buying are the Cayenne Turbo and Cayenne GTS. It should be about $10,000 cheaper for the base, $15,000 cheaper for the Cayenne S and about 20k cheaper for the Cayenne turbo. I do like Porsche, but they should definitely steer away from making SUV's. Porsche are great cars, and this is a good car, but they need to make some big changes with it when they come to making the next generation Cayenne.
