2007 BMW 335 Conv Pricing Released
Pricing has just been released this morning for the New 2007 3-series Conv. The 328 Conv will start out with a Base MSRP of $ 43,200 ( only a $3,600 increase over last years model ). The 335 Conv will start out with a Base MSRP of $ 49,100 ( only a $ 4,200 increase over the 330 last year ). This is great news for everyone, except for Audi, Mercedes, Volvo & anyone else who has a Conv in this segment.

Bill .. I think it will impact more than you think. It is far less than I expected it to be. Just the fact that you have a retractable hardtop conv that seats 4 people, is larger than the competition, has better overall performance, and is the best value on the market cost wise will have a big impact.

Kind of like when the MB SLK was introduced with the retractable hardtop. MB made a killing on that car for the first 4 years. People loved the fact that not only was it a Mercedes, but it was a roadster and affordable. I work for BMW, but at a location where the dealer also sells Mercedes & Range Rover. I think it will make a pretty large impact.

I'm going to cancel my order if it is released as a 2007 model and not a 2008. The implication is that the 2008 model will have enhancements not present on the 2007 - otherwise why not call it a 2008?

( only a $ 4,200 increase over the 330 last year )......only.......thats a huge increase.

Getting pretty pricey. Im sure it will be the ultimate convertible, but $60,000 for a 3-series without an "M" on its sleeve leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Take in consideration that the 328i with options will push the base convertible well over 50 grand, and the 335i well over 60 grand. I love BMW, but thats too expensive.

Chip ... that is not large at all. The 328 conv should be compared to 330 conv of last year. The 2006 330 conv is 225 hp vs the 328 conv of 230 hp. The 328 is larger, with hardtop, and better fuel economy for less money...

Look at the competition. 2007 MB CLK 350 base MSRP is $54,000 , 2007 Audi A4 3.2L is $ 46,700 ... Both of these cars are with soft tops and smaller. Neither include the maintenance in which BMW does for 4 years / 50,000 miles of Full Maint. The 2007 Audi S4 Conv has a base price of $ 55,170 & the Mercedes CLK550 is at $64,000 ...

We priced out a fully loaded 335 Conv with Auto, Sport Package, Premium Package, Navigation, HD Radio, Sat Radio, Metalic Paint and it came to $ 57,965 + TTL ... Compared to the competition it is well under either the Audi S4 ( comparably equipped at $63,470 ) or the Mercedes CLK550 .....

I didn't check the prices, so you are probably right. But makes me wonder .. how come all other Audi cars are cheaper (a few thousands $ cheaper) then BMW when comparing the same model. What's up this conv ?

The 328 conv with auto, premium, sport & cold weather package should be $49,950 vs the 2006 330 conv which was $50,445 ...

rq... they really arent thou. The Audi S4 , competes more favorily to the 335xi sedan. The BMW 335xi is a quicker and better handling car & less expensive car than the S4. If you price out a A4 3.2 Quattro then you are within a stones throw of a 335xi sedan, with not even close to the overall performance ..... Audi, has become much more expensive in the last few years in the US. Especially, since they discontinued their full maintenance package.

It's a huge increase for a reason. It's quite beautiful, has a hardtop (!), an engine with 70 more horsepower, and what I believe is a lot more standard features.

I'll take two... it would still be less than getting a 650ci with my options!

basically, a fully loaded 335 conv is the same price as the base model 2006 M3 conv. As I stated earlier a fully loaded 335 conv, is $58,000 ... If you think the price for this is high, then go onto www.audiusa.com or www.mbusa.com and price out a competing conv. That is high. A 2007 Audi S4 conv, fully equipped for $ 64,000 and the CLK350 conv for $ 61,000 .... huh?

In the S4, you get the exclusivity of an S car and the sexy sound of the V8. Mine was out-the-door at about $63K and I wouldn't want a dime in return.

I can't vouch for the CLK350. And I'm pretty sure it can get a lot more expensive than that. Why not get a 550 for that money? It's standard with the AMG kit now (550).

I would much rather a 335 convertible than anything in the class. Even though its alot heavier its only a few mods and Vishnu chip away from low to mid 4's 0-60. Which is plenty to send an S4 Vert crying to mommy!
