2008 Saturn Sky Red Line Review - Rethinking the High Performance Roadster
CarReview.com comes in with a review of Saturn's turbocharged roadster - the SKY Red Line. Can a soft-top convertible, based on an Opel GT and Pontiac Solstice, inspire the true feelings brought on by zipping around in an open-air cockpit?

Screaming fast turbo-charged engine? Check. Wide grippy tires? Check. Wind in your hair convertible top? Check. Head turning design? Check. New respect for Saturn from the car enthusiast crowd? Check!

Pros:

* Grin inducing acceleration
* Well balanced suspension
* True high performance tires
* “Look at me!” exterior design
* Lots of speed for little cash

Cons:

* Automatic transmission needs a manual mode
* Finicky convertible top
* Cheap interior plastic
* No cargo room

LOVE the styling on this car. Don't think I'll ever get tired of it.

Wow...that's a pretty good review of a GM product. I'm thinking of trading Solstice #848 in for a Red Sky Red Line...need the turbos and there are some really nice sounding aftermarket exhausts (for a 4-banger, anyway : ).

CTS-V, Are you considering the Solstice Targa GXP?

Yes, I saw it @ the Dallas Auto Show...problem is it will not be out until Spring '09 and I don't think I can wait that long...besides, it is convertible season in full-swing, and I do so enjoy that top down driving...

For a traga, I am also looking at the Lotus Elise, but it is quite a bit more $$$ and I don't know that I would get to use it for its intended purpose enough. : )
