2009 Audi A4 with S-line pacakge
Last night we saw the official press release of the 2009 Audi A4. While Audi hasn’t released an ‘S’ version of the car as of yet, buyers have the option to ad an S-line package which gives their new A4 a more aggressive look.

The 2009 Audi A4 with the S-line package offers an exterior design package and a sports package. Among its most attractive items are visual changes inside the car, extra-firm suspension settings...

The A5 just doesn't look exclusive anymore since the A4 looks almost identical.

Almost all Audi cars (not the two-seaters) look alike, why make a big deal about the similarities between the A5 and A4?

the S5 is the 2 door S4

MercBasher, because what made the A5 special to me was its design like no other. I wouldn't be getting the Audi for power and handling, aspecially with a 60/40 weight distribution...the 335i wins in that category along with a better price as well.

Ever seen Entourage?

Look at the car that Lloyd drives. THAT is a gay car for a gay man.

This looks like a finely tailored suit for a gentleman.

However, I will take the 2009 WRX STi. THAT is a powerhouse.

It seems like the STI is not really in this category. It is a fast "value" category car. It has a plastic interior and I used to think that didn't matter but as I got a little older and could afford performance, style AND a well finished interior.....there is no going back.

Ennorak,

There are those Jap rims that you were talking about, all Jap culture loves those odd number spoke rims.

I need 5 spokes for 5 bolts!

Freaking Jap culture and their plan to hurt my eyes!

Nice A4 S-Line by the way. I was hoping that Audi would take it just one step further, since this is what I thought the model refresh would/should have looked like.

These aren't Japanses rims. They come on the Audi RS4, once of the most euro-explosive sedans currently on the planet. If anything, they should take these nice rims off the 2009 A4, so the RS4's exclusivity remains intact.

Hyundai, does that go for 4-bolt rims as well?

i personally have seen ONE 4-spoke rim that's somewhat appealing, but its tuner/racing oriented.

the rims regardless of the bolt pattern looks very good. Just imagine a set of classic OZ Superleggera's on this ride, it makes a statements when you bring back well-known/well-received collaborations!

the car looks nice, the LED healdamps will be a big seller but with the price of the audi, there are a few other choices i'd have to consider before jumping into this electical-issue problem waiting to happen!

The only car in this class more reliable than the Audi A4 is the Lexus IS. It beats out the Infiniti G35, BMW 3 Series, Jaguar X-Type and Mercedes-Benz C-Class in that order.

Well, everyone is going to be the winner with all these stunning new cars on the market: M3, C-class AMG, RS4, IS-F. Can't wait to see the smackdown.

Like I said before I really love the design on the new A4. It's defintely better looking than a C-class. Even with AMG package. Not to mention the 3-series.

I like it, I can't wait to see the tests on handling. With this new chassis I think Audi may finally have made a true 3 series handling competitor

This car has something special... I will admit, when I first saw the pictures I was disappointed. But now I really look at it- devour every detail. It looks fantastic! The boys at Ingolsdadt's sublime taste shows through. The B8 looks stunning in white, with S-Line-- that's exactly how I'd have mine. The front is this car's strong point, but unlike a couple other cars in this class, the rear end is also very stylish and aggressive. It's similar to the Lexus IS- taut and aggressive from every angle. But completely different stylistic approaches.

I'm not surprised at the interior, and obviously haven't seen it yet. But no doubt, it will once again set the class standard, even overlapping with sedans that cost $15K more (5 Series, M).

What I am surprised about are the engine options. They really, really, really need a new V6. The 3.2L is my current least-favorite Audi engine. If they don't have the time to develop a new engine, stick in a pair of twins! That's what BMW did, and IAmEvilHomer says a twin-turbo 3.2 is currently in development and will make its way into Audi's bread-and-butter.

As a former 2.7T owner, any Audi turbo holds a special place in my heart, and an A4 3.2T would be a dream to drive. The one problem? S4. They would have to move it upmarket for this to happen, with about 400hp. But then the RS4 would need to be pushed to 500, which would be insane. It's feasible, but odd. I think they should dump one of them.

Well, actually, I don't. I like the S4 and RS4 both too much. Maybe they could tune the twin-turbo V6 to about 370hp and call it the S4?

What's wrong with the Audi V6? It's basically a VR6, an engine that carries a lot of history with it. And they sound sooo nice. Especially in the A5 3.2

I agree with EvilHomer.

Sevor, I had an A6 3.2 quattro in L.A. over Spring break this March-April, and I was just disappointed. Sure, it SOUNDS good, but it sounds faster than it is. It's not particularly impressive, that's all. I'd expect more from a company that prides itself so on its engineering.

I am not a fan of this s-line package, it gives the car a badge which looks like its in the Sport class, and just offers a "better" suspension package, and that is it. just cough up the money for a real "S" car, its not an out of this world option.

And this is where you are wrong...
Different front and rear bumpers, different door sills, sport seats, lowered suspension, different interior trim, performation on the leather of steering wheel and shift knob.....
