Ok,

We already know that this vehicle is (allegedly) due...

The real question is what's the hold up?

It's called "testing..." It does, in fact, take quite awhile for a vehicle to be sufficiently prepared for production. I'd rather have a perfectly executed Camaro that is worth the wait than a lukewarm model that would be better left in airport parking lots.

I read an article that explained the complexity of making a car like this affordable. Hence the B-Pillarless design was dropped and other "adjustments" had to be made.

I understand both your points, but with these sporty coupes having a rather short 'shelf life' these days, I can't help but have concerns that this (and the Dodge Challenger) will have taken so long to make it to market, that potential buyers might well lose interest.

Think about all the vehicles in this class that will be redesigned in the next 18 months (RX-8/370z/etc.) with promises of being bigger/better/faster...

They'll have to take those competitors on when, if they'd made it to market earlier, this situation would have been less of an issue, because they would have been the NEW coupes in the showroom.

I'm definitely not a chevy fan at all but I do admit the camaro is a very sleek and modern design.Unfortunately, by the time it goes into production it will be old already LOL.I can not understand how the American auto industry continues to mess things up.UNBELEIVABLE!!!!! in a bad way though

I agree ... the Camaro style will be obsolete, to me anyway, by the time it arrives. So will the Challenger. Then the Mustang will come out w/ a new model and whip their butts again!!!

"Then the Mustang will come out w/ a new model and whip their butts again!!!" This guy is a dumb ass above falsely misguide by perhaps his red neck parents mentality and antics. Name one stock Mustang model that has ever smoked a Camaro of same class. Don't even say anything about that Fox Body POJ. its totally a poor white trashes piece of crap. even that sorry piece of crap 2003 Mach 1 or SVT cobra couldn't hang with a 1998 through 2002 Camaro, and it was meant to run with the vett. None the less I have a 1998 Z28 2003 Z06 and a 2007 Ford Mustang Gt. I bought the Mustang not to go fast but because it's a beautiful car.
