said Wednesday its refreshed 2014 Chevrolrt Malibu will start at $22,965 for the LS model and its base 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine will give drivers a 14 percent boost in city fuel economy.
The Detroit automaker has quickly reworked the Malibu with new interior changes including a redesigned center console and more rear seat room, plus a new front face to help boost sales after the new-for-2013 model failed to resonate with buyers and win sales. The 2013 Malibu came out in phases beginning about 18 months ago.
Malibu sales are down 19.6 percent year-to-date through July. GM sold 12,473 of the sedans in July. Some competitors in the large midsize segment sell 30,000 or more vehicles a month.Read Article
