A new spyshot revealing interior of the 2016 Hyundai Equus has surfaced on the web. The flagship vehicle will enter its third-generation with the introduction either late this year or next year.

The all-new luxury sedan will share its underpinnings with the second-generation Genesis and is likely to be powered by V6 and V8 petrol engines. Unless Hyundai readies the new 10-speed automatic transmission in time, an 8-speed automatic transmission should be standard on the range.

The spyshot reveals extensive use of wood trim and leather. We notice wooden panels on the dashboard, the door panels and the centre console, with silver inlays. The wooden finish matches very well with the beige interior. However, the black dashboard (let’s hope that its a dummy on the test mule) simply does not go with the overall interior theme. An even more unusual element is the beige floating horn console that looks like after-market fitment.

The wooden touches are also seen on the back of the front seats, with thick silver garnish on its top and thin gold accent below. There’s also a rear air conditioning vent and the comfort is further uplifted with a well-bolstered rear bench and generous legroom.
