If you were a fan of vehicles like the Subaru Forester and Volvo XC70 Cross Country, then you may need to hold on. That's because we've got some exciting news for you. While Volvo had no problem unpacking the S60 Cross Country about a year ago, it seems that others are following with aggressive, off-road-inspired wagons.

That's because Volkswagen is shipping the Golf Alltrack, Audi is delivering the all-new A4 Allroad in the fall, and Mercedes-Benz is working on the E-Class All Terrain.

While we have to admit there was something special with the creation of the A6 Allroad back in the early 2000s, it seems that these all-new models are trying to bottle up that same bit of success. There's just one difference between now and then: Sport-utility vehicles are the "must have" item. Wagons are not.

As we consider the Spies the tastemakers, we're turning to you to help us answer this very simple question. Are jacked up, off-road-inspired wagons AWESOME or AWFUL?

Why wouldn't a buyer just go out and buy a real rugged, off-road machine instead of a poser?

What say you, Spies?
