At the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (2015 IAA) last week, Audi took the wraps off the e-tron quattro concept which is powered by three electric motors, and has a maximum range of over 500 km. The concept is confirmed to evolve into a production model in early 2018 and a rendering from automotive illustrator Shoeb Kalania previews how the production version will possibly look like.

Save for some dramatic styling elements, the e-tron quattro concept appears to be near-production structurally. The exterior design is expected to borrow cues from the Audi Q7, as depicted in the rendering. Sitting on the second generation modular longitudinal platform (MLB-Evo), the production version will be positioned between the Audi Q5 and Q7 and going with the brand's nomenclature system for its crossovers and electrified models, it is likely to bear the 'Audi Q6 e-tron quattro' nameplate.
