I think BMW currently makes the best diesels, in this test the BMW 1.5 4 cylinder was only 20hp and 5 lb-ft down on the Audis 3.0 V6! On a side note BMW makes a 3.0d tri-turbo with 380hp, and 545lb-ft which is the highest hp/liter diesel in production...— 94geo (View Profile)

I do find it odd they chose to use the 3.0TDI Multitronic for their test. The 2.0TDI 177hp would have been a much better option as it uses DSG Gearbox, Lighter Engine and more closely matches the 520d in stats. {4-pot}As far as fleet leases go, the A6 2.0TDI is for Audi what the 520d is for BMW and the E220 is for MB so i really do not get the choice.— I95SPEEDINGTICKETS (View Profile)

BMW do not make a 1.5L Engine, {Except for the 1.6L in the Mini}The 3.0L V6 you mentioned is the same one that makes 245hp and now 313hp in the BiTDI models so is just detuned for CO2 tax rules. The 3 turbo 3.0L you mentioned BMW makes sounds like it will be a gem and i hope to test in Germany next weekend, ill report back on what it is like to drive.— I95SPEEDINGTICKETS (View Profile)

I don't think they're bringing the 520d. My understanding is they're bringing the 320d and X3 20d with the 2.0 TDI and the 535d, X5 35d, and 740d with the 3.0 TDI.— JRobUSC (View Profile)

Dear Autospies...Why did you include the Lexus as part of the title if its not in the comparison? Give me a good answer...— ThierryHenry14 (View Profile)
