This is a very good article and reflects my snetiments almost exactly. The only surprise for me is that Toyota and Chrysler were criticised for bringing out some models considered (by greeies I guess) to be gas guzlers. Nobody is forced to buy a gas guzler but some people need the extra power for practical reasons or for just the thrill of it if they can afford higher fuel bills. Anyway, salvation is just around the corner in the form of a 500 hp Audi Q7 V12 turbo diesel which is a pretty green machine.

Automakers refer to companies like AutoPacific to help them in their market research. The car makes take these words seriously because they know that is how they are viewed in the marketplace.
