BMW of North America has announced its plans to open the BMW Performance Center West. Coming in late 2014 to La Quinta, California, the center will serve as a training facility and dedicated road course, offering a range of performance driving courses – similar to those offered in the BMW Performance Center in South Carolina. Built on 32 acres of the existing Thermal Club, BMW's center will include an 8,500 sq ft performance facility, a skid pad and a 1.4 mile road course, in addition to 6.2 acres of paddock.
