Good morning, Spies. If you're looking to get up and at 'em this morning, you may want to check conditions before leaving if you're in the New York Tri-State region. That's because we've been hit with a bout of freezing rain.

Literally, I just watched someone slide backwards down the hill in front of my Bergen County, New Jersey residence. It's not a big hill, maybe five or 10 degrees, tops.

While that may sound bad enough as it is, I turned on my police scanner to hear the latest hubbub going on over the radio. Turns out local firefighters are having significant trouble getting to the firehouse this a.m.

That said, do NOT leave your house if you're in the New York Tri-State region unless you absolutely have to or you've confirmed the conditions are completely clear.

Be safe out there, Spies!
