Unfortunately, I have had some run ins with the law. Speeding and what not. Then again, who hasn't?
If you're into cars likely there's a good chance you probably enjoy speed to some extent, and if I were a betting man I'd wager there's a correlation between folks who modify their cars and how much they drive over the speed limit.
I don't mind getting busted for those tickets. I know I was in the wrong. However, I DO mind getting tickets for something like this.
In the great state of New Jersey where I call home I got pulled over this morning in my hometown for having a "noisy muffler."
The vehicle in question is a 2012 Volkswagen Golf with an AWE Tuning cat-back exhaust. It meets the U.S. Department of Transportation's regulations and it doesn't have any cutouts or bypasses in there. It's just a cat-back exhaust.
The officer didn't use a decibel meter to test the noise level and it's purely a subjective thing.
So, what now? FIGHT it or let it go?
On top of that, I am curious:
Have ANY of you been written up for something as ridiculous as this?
