BMW group treasurer, Erich Ebner von Eschenbach, said that the company is seeking more individual investors to buy its debt and is mulling whether to offer bonds in smaller unit sizes in Asia.

In an interview with Reuters in Singapore, Ebner von Eschenbach said that BMW expects a recovery in the asset-backed securities (ABS) market, and wants to issue them in several countries, including Japan and Australia. Ebner von Eschenbach revealed that BMW is working in these countries to offer ABS paper to investors.
