When you think of America's craziest sports cars, right now the two biggest and baddest are the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and the new Dodge Viper ACR. While the Ford GT is on its way, the reality is that it's still a ways off. Oh, and it will cost a metric sh!t ton more than the likes of our two contenders tonight.

Right now we're going to work with what we've got.

The Viper ACR is a legend on the track. Not equipped with many frills, it's a purpose-built track car. The Z06, on the other hand, is built for the road. It just so happens to typically be the most hardcore variant that General Motors is willing to put on the road.

Though we haven't heard about the ACR setting a new Nürburgring record, I don't recall seeing a lap time for the Z06 as of yet, either.

For now we'll have to settle on the following criteria: power, price, beauty.

The ACR produces 645 horsepower and 600 lb.-ft. of torque from a gigantic 8.4-liter V10 engine. It's priced at about $117,895, is a hand-built car and, like the name, looks a bit snake-ish.

The Z06, on the other hand, produces 650 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque from a supercharged V8 mill. It's pricing starts at $79,000 and is already on the streets. We suggest you add the Z07 Performance Package if you take the plunge — what's the point of doing it if you don't do it right?

So, what say you, Spies? WHICH American heavyweight would YOU want in your driveway?
