When it comes to picking the top sports car coupe these days, you've got some research to do. That's because there are so many options. Take, for example, the BMW M4, the Cadillac ATS-V Coupe and Lexus RC F.

You can pick this in one or two methods: 1) Just pick what you like by looks, or 2) look at the performance metrics and go for bragging rights. To put the three to the test, Cars.com gathered the three together and got out the measurement equipment.

When it comes the zero to 60 times, this it how it shook out:

- BMW M3 = 3.9 seconds
- Cadillac ATS-V = 4.3 seconds
- Lexus RC F = 4.8 seconds

More interested in the quarter mile? Here's those results:

- BMW M4 = 12.05 seconds @ 118 mph
- Cadillac ATS-V = 12.4 seconds @ 115 mph
- Lexus RC F = 13.12 seconds @ 109 mph

But if you're considering how fast these reach speed, you'll probably want to know how they did with braking:

- BMW M4 = 122.85 feet
- Cadillac ATS-V = 119.47 feet
- Lexus RC F = 127.68 feet

So, there you have it. Those things being considered, WHICH would YOU have and WHY?

The Cadillac ATS-V, BMW M4 and Lexus RC F are stealthy performance packages over their non-performance counterparts, so it’s easy to fly under the radar until an in-the-know gearhead spots the M, V or F badges and excitedly shouts at a stoplight, “How fast is it?!”
