If you were asleep and under a rock located somewhere in a third-world country without internet access, you may have missed the highlight of the 2015 New York Auto Show. That would be the all-new Lincoln Continental Concept.

While there are plenty of people who will try to tear down its design due to the large amount of creative license taken from the likes of Bentley — we see you, Lincoln — there's no question that it is an amazing looking vehicle INSIDE and OUT. It's brilliant.

BUT, we'd be hard-pressed to ignore the fact that there have been other outstanding American automobiles shown in concept form lately. The very best example of design before the Continental existed was the stunning big body coupe shown as the Cadillac Elmiraj.

We still can't wrap our heads around why General Motors' luxury division won't build it. We guess too many people adored it?

That said, we want to get down to brass tacks: WHICH American luxury concept car was BETTER purely from a DESIGN standpoint? The Lincoln Continental Concept or the Cadillac Elmiraj?
