Now that we're officially in 2019, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is just around the corner. Given that it's become more critical to the automotive world, and essentially stolen the juice around the Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS), more eyes are turning to CES.

So much so that Mercedes-Benz has decided to unveil the all-new, next-gen CLA-Class, which will also be joined by the all-new EQC sport-utility vehicle.

In addition, Audi will show off all-new in-car technology at the event. Called “Audi Immersive In-Car Entertainment,” it will provide a digital entertainment experience while the vehicle is not in motion. I guess that sounds cool?

Having said that, we're curious: Is there ANY all-new, in-car tech that you'd like to see appear at CES 2019?

It could involve using the vehicle's glass as an interactive display, leveraging eye tracking technology to help drivers control certain functions of the auto and also, of course, the use of artificial intelligence for a slew of convenience-focused features.

12. Can Las Vegas steal Detroit's auto mojo?

In recent years, bragging rights for the center of the car technology universe has been a tug of war between CES in Las Vegas and the NAIAS -- the North American International Auto Show -- in Detroit, which starts just a couple of days after CES ends. 2019 will be no different: Often, automakers split the difference, using the Nevada show to highlight general technology announcements, while saving Michigan for splashy new model or concept car debuts. 

But there are always exceptions to the rule: Look for Mercedes to debut its CLA-Class sedan in Vegas and show off its EQC electric SUV in the US for the first time, too. We may also see the unveiling of the Nissan Leaf E-Plus electric vehicle as well. Audi is expected to show off its new in-car entertainment system, while Honda will be skewing more towards robotics. Toyota, Hyundai and Byton, meanwhile, all have press conferences scheduled at CES, and we expect automotive-related announcements from Qualcomm, Nvidia and other vendors, too...
