CO2 limits has Toyota scared
Europe’s CO2 regulations are strict, and becoming more so, and car makers are taking action to meet the tough standards. For Toyota, that means cutting back on RAV-4 sales, and eliminating the Land Cruiser from Europe altogether. Read Article

This should be of little surprise to any modern vehicle manufacturer...

The real reason the new Land Cruiser should be eliminated from all line-ups is because it looks like little more than a 65K Toyota Highlander/Harrier.

And that's NOT A Good Thing!

Wow, remove SUVs from your lineup and CO2 emissions drop. That's amazing. Guess what the top 5 don't sell? (1 token model doesn't really count)

I remember this list. I was just citing it a couple of days ago when I said BMW only looks good (improved) beause they've been so bad for so long.

Audi/MB are doing so bad because of all their 24 cylinder diesels.

If you want to talk clean, a CDI is definitely NOT the engine to use as an example.

The LS600hL is SULEV, the ML320CDI doesn't even have to worry about emissions because it's an SUV. On top of that, the ML320, according to the 2008 EPA consumes 25% more oil in a year than the LSh.
