If you've been keeping up to speed with us here at AutoSpies, you would have seen about a month or two ago Lexus announced it would be introducing the IS200t abroad. Only a few weeks later, Toyota's luxury division confirmed that the US market would also receive the 2016 IS200t.

Well, the same deal may be happening again, just this time it concerns the RC Coupe.

Just announced for the European market, the RC200t makes use of the same 2.0-liter, four-cylinder motor found in the IS200t. That means 241 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque creating a zero to 60 time in the seven second range.

If you visit Lexus.com you may notice that the RC currently exists in only three flavors:

- RC350
- RC350 F Sport
- RC F

The addition of the RC200t will almost certainly make it a more compelling offering when compared with the likes of the Audi A5, BMW 428i, upcoming Infiniti Q60 Coupe and upcoming Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe. Now, let's see how long it takes the company to announce it hitting U.S. showrooms.
