It only takes one bad apple to ruin the whole barrel, or so they say. But do some barrels attract more of the bad ones?

Today on the way to work I merged on to the relatively open highway at 6:00AM, and was immediately cut off by an aggressive driver in a tricked out WRX. Annoying? Yeah.  Dangerous? Of course.  But while that might have been rude, I live in Dallas, and down here everyone believes the highway is their personal nurburgring race track.

You just simply learn to turn the cheek and ignore their stupidity.

But the rest of journey into downtown was spent watching this driver weave in and out of traffic and then slowing to 5 mph below the speed limit only to dive back into the mix like a Stuka dive bomber. It made me think. Over 10 odd miles he never made any substantial progress.

I have to admit I have been seeing a lot of these boy racers and their pocket rockets lately, and they always seem to be  either A WRX or an EVO attempting to prove their self worth at the peril of the general populous.

So now I ask, Is it just me, or do some brands simply attract those out to prove something?  Do some cars attract a certain following that brands them as a bad apple.

If so what brands and what type of people do they attract?  Give me your best!
