Cars.com Releases Winners And Losers For Consumer Interest
Several cars that were redesigned for 2008 have generated interest among consumers shopping at Cars.com, according to the latest Cars.com Consumer Search Index. The 2008 Saturn Vue, Toyota Highlander and Subaru Impreza, all which were redesigned for the 2008 model year, top the list of new cars experiencing the greatest increase in searches on Cars.com over the past month.

"New 2008 models are starting to hit dealer lots in significant numbers, and manufacturers are pushing their marketing efforts to make consumers aware of those new models," said Cars.com managing editor Patrick Olsen. "That being said, there are still plenty of new 2007 vehicles on dealer lots and valuable incentives that make this a pretty good time to buy for consumers."

Below are the vehicles with the most searches on Cars.com and the vehicles experiencing the largest increases and decreases month over month.

Its because they are more EXPENSIVE and therefore people like you cannot afford or aspire to them for monetary and economical reasons.

Houston

I have 2. a W209 and a W114. New one is under warranty, and the classic is infact an expensive hobby I am lucky enough to partake in.

Interesting reflection on gas prices and the economy, notice cheaper fuel efficient cars on the rise, near luxury cars and SUV on the way down.

The C Class has to be one of the best designs of the year, too expensive for it to be on the 'most searched' list, people like bland camrys and accords

Hmm. This article has absolutely no relevancy, but I wasn't expecting this:

"1 Acura MDX 45%
2 Lexus ES 350 30% "

Both of these are new models for 2007, and both are significantly more attractive/impressive than the vehicles they replace.

And I didn't even know the Infiniti G5 existed, so I guess I can see why that went down!

(-;
