OK, I have to admit we are a bit of a loss here at Autospies when it comes to what the devil Acura is up to these days.

When you think of the Detroit Auto Show, you envision progressive prototypes, designers pushing the envelope, and leading edge technology.  This is your time to shine as an automaker and considering the US is still one of the largest markets in the world you pull out all stops.  Simply put, you place your best foot forward and hope it is enough.  Look at the Hyundai HCD-14, Nissan Resonance, and even the new Corvette for examples of how to lay it out there on the line.

So why in the world do you bring the MDX Prototype and announce it to the world?  I'm sorry, but I have scanned the press kit on this one, and really wanted to inform you on what is going on over at Acura.  Well in a nutshell, not a damn thing worth mentioning.  So why go through the effort and waste everyone's time?

Is Acura so stuck in a rut, that even their own engineers can't think of anything new and exciting?

I guess we can chalk this one up as the biggest let down of the show.
