The last time General Motors launched a teaser video for the #NextGenVolt, it showed us some exterior driving footage and a bit of its heavily cloaked interior. It was very brief and featured the car doing some driving on snow.

This clip picks up with GM senior-level executive, Mark Reuss, behind the wheel. In addition, the Chevrolet Volt's Chief Engineer, Adam Farah, is tagging along in this short adventure.

Essentially, Chevrolet is using this video to get across a theme and a message.

The theme that the company is continuing to hammer on is that the automaker has been listening to current owners and the tastemakers to improve upon the existing product. The message is a bit more focused though — noise, vibration and harshness.

If you didn't have the chance to drive the first-gen Volt, you missed out on probably its worst characteristic. When the vehicle is either using the range extender and the gasoline-powered four-cylinder, or just the four-cylinder, it is LOUD and very unrefined. It may very well be one of the worst sounds on the planet. When it's off though, the car is quite good.

I think our two friends here are trying to get across it will be a much more refined product this time around. We hope so!

Given the timing of these videos, we're pretty confident the new Volt will show up in Detroit in approximately two weeks time.
