Only a decade ago, the thought of BMW producing an all-electric vehicle didn't seem to be on the radar. The newly refreshed M3 was tearing up towns and the M5 was about to cease production. Those were the days...

Now though BMW's added the i3 to the lineup. While I think it's safe to say that most folks are stoked to get behind the wheel of the halo i8, most folks will likely behind the wheel of the i3 as its barrier of entry is reasonable.

To be straightforward, I haven't been following the i3. I don't think it's a game changer in the EV market though it is definitely a game changer for BMW. Watch for the EV technology to make its way into standard BMW products.
