While I know Consumer Reports is not everyone's favorite automotive reviewer, the reality is that this is one of the few publications that tells it like it is. That's because it's not bound by the freebies the automakers tend to ply the other guys with. 

So, while you may say they should review toasters, they do demand respect because they do reviews properly and they also tell it like it is — much of the time I've noticed their findings are in line with mine.

When it comes to the all-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class, how does it fair out? Well, you need to watch the clip below to learn more. 

What I will say though is that the Consumer Reports' thoughts here are quite fair and balanced. Take, for example, the straightforward perspective on the E300's four-cylinder motor that gets knocked for being a bit too loud at idle. Or, how about the sumptuous cabin that is best-in-class?
