So, BMW has introduced the much-anticipated M5.

 Now we're talking about a 600 horsepower V8 mated to an eight-speed autobox, an all-wheel drive set up and a zero to 60 time of about 3.4 seconds. 

While that sounds very impressive straight away, we're a bit concerned. That's because of two things: First, did it lose its certain special something that made all BMW M cars special; and, second, is it better than the Mercedes-AMG E63 S?

Frankly, I am pretty sure that's the only thing that matters at this point.

This is the new BMW M5, BMW's executive supersaloon, which has 592bhp (600hp) and, just as importantly, 4wd to put all of that power to the road, and with which to challenge the Mercedes-AMG E63.
