Finding and driving an all-new McLaren P1 is tough as it is. The car is super rare, super expensive and you really need a track to stretch its legs. This is the case with anything pushing out over 900 horsepower.

The case only gets more difficult and exclusive with the likes of the all-new McLaren P1 GTR. For those of you who missed its 2015 Geneva Motor Show debut, the GTR is the most hardcore variant of the P1. Essentially, it serves as a spiritual successor to the McLaren F1 GTR that won Le Mans back in the mid 1990s.

No word if the P1 GTR will go racing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans or 24 Hours of Nürburgring, yet.

Now if you're like me and find yourself day dreaming of what it would be like to actually pop behind the Alcantara-trimmed, racing steering wheel then likely the closest you'll come to doing so is by watching gratuitous internet footage. That's where Autocar comes in.

I will warn that about half of the five minute clip is simply McLaren's Chief Test Driver, Chris Goodwin, going over the steering wheel's controls. Though I am sure some of you will wind it boring, personally, I find it fascinating.
