When Cadillac launched the new CTS-V, I think it is safe to say most of the automotive industry was stunned. 556 horsepower coming from a supercharged LSA powerplant, my God the car went like stink.

With a zero to 60 time of 3.9 seconds and going on the German's turf to lap the Nurburgring faster than them was pretty epic. You have to know that when the lap time came in it must have been a truly rewarding moment for the General Motors team. What 00R would have done to be a fly on the wall in that room!

In a recent advertisement for the CTS-V, Cadillac goes out on a limb and says "Cadillac, the new standard of the world." And considering its accomplishment you cannot really blame the company.

However, does this HELP or HURT the brand?

Think of it this way: when a co-worker comes to the water cooler and says "Yeah'p I am the coolest," is he/she?

Is there a better tagline that you can think of?
