For instance, numerous countries have rules that dictate what side of the road you drive on. In this instance, I ran across a cool map that shows which country drives on each side of the road.Enjoy....2010 Porsche Panamera Launch Gallery2009 Frankfurt Auto Show Photo GalleryAutoSpies.com Photo Galleries If you want to see your photos running on our homepage photo ticker, be sure to upload your photos on the go by sending them to Mobile@AutoSpies.com Share on FacebookThere are photos and then there are AutoSpies.com photos!AutoSpies.com is ranked number one on Google search for auto showsRead Article

Invisible,Care to explain why Japan drives on the left side of the road? It has to do with the Samurai but I'm interested to see what your response is.— huu76 (View Profile)

Not all countries that drive on the left were British Colonies. Japan never was, and neither was Sweden (who switched over in the 1960s to driving on the right). Mozambique was never a British colony, but a Portuguese, and they drive left. As is the case with Suriname which was a Dutch colony, yet drives left. Indonesia was a Dutch colony but drives left. East Timor also drives left but was a Portuguese colony. As of September 7, 2009 Samoa changed from driving on the right to driving on the left, despite being a German colony previously. Now let's look at the former British colonies that drive right. United States, Canada, Belize, and Nigeria, among others. Gibraltar is still a British colony, but drives on the right. My point? It doesn't matter as long as people can get where they need to go. And let's not get into which side is correct and which side is wrong. It's so frigging childish it make me want to puke. — tango (View Profile)

What happens when you cross a border and the next country switched to the other side? Didn't look at the map but I'm sure it's happened where you have to switch over lanes somehow. When I drove in Bermuda I almost got into like 10 accidents. There are no traffic lights on the island and rotaries are easy to navigate. I wish we had more of them in the US.But for me it was the looking that almost killed me. I was so accustomed and programmed when pulling out to look the opposite direction first, that I was very close in being introduced to the island hospital. After a week I got it fine, but when I came home, I had to re-train the brain as I almost died about 5 times shortly after getting back on US roads.— Whelan (View Profile)
