An all-new vehicle for 2013 is the Mercedes-Benz GL63 AMG. The GL is a massive, massive vehicle and now it's been armed with the AMG division's brutal power. If that's not enough grunt to make your six other passengers ill, Brabus — the world famous Merc tuner — has what you're looking for.

Now known as the B63 Widestar, Brabus has taken an already huge vehicle and made it even bigger. It widened the front and rear bumpers by 80mm. Power is now up to 611 horsepower and stopping power has been kept in check thanks to a monstrous set of discs measuring 16 inches.

Zero to 62 is claimed to be 4.7 seconds and its v-max is said to be 174 mph.

So, if you need a faster bus to get your kids to school, this will likely be it.

No word on price but given Brabus' history, I don't think it'll be cheap.

The Mercedes GL 63 AMG is not an off-roader for those who want to go unoticed but that hasn't stopped tuning firm Brabus creating an even more extreme and outlandish version, dubbed the B63 Widestar.

The 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 from the standard GL 63 has been fettled with a new ECU to raise the power output from 549bhp to a whopping 611bhp sent to all four wheels, while torque has also increaed to a gargantuan 820Nm from as low as 2,000rpm. To cope with the extra power the brakes have been upgraded to hold 16-inch cross-drilled discs and six-piston calipers.
