Fifth Gear exalts the C63 AMG
AMG has made a profusion of performance Mercs over the years, some excellent, some far from convincing, but the C63 falls decisively into the first category. It scores where it counts with performance cars, with its ferocious zest, the sound-track to go with it and handling that's not only capable but addictively entertaining too. Own one of these, and memorable drives will suddenly become a regular feature of your life. But there are downsides, chief of which are a sometimes turbulent ride - turbulent enough that passengers will sometimes wish you'd bought an MPV instead - and a V8 with a worrying thirst for fuel. This is strongly-charactered car whose compromises will sometimes annoy. But the flip side is terrific.

That's probably about 17mpg average. Expect to get about 13 in aggressive city driving.

i cant wait for a head to head comparison with cts-v rs4,m3, is-f and c63. should be close as i feel they will all have their strong points and weaknesses.

i wouldnt be surprised if c63 came out on top being their specs are amazing but m3 and rs4 should be able to keep up or win with their superior balance in past results.
on exterior looks: c63,m3,rs4 then is-f.
interior :rs-4,c63,is-f, m3
on how the badge is percieved: m-3, rs-4, c63, is-f

im just glad we have such great options when the dealers will piss us off.

Stupid comment.

If im not mistaken, every C-class AMG had more power than its M3 competitor, and the M3 would always win. We dont know yet, but to claim the C63 is better now is just idiotic.
