According to a report that almost one quarter of those who drive exotics lease their cars. They sited the example of one Timothy Durham who put down $400,000 and set up a month payment plan that has him signing cheques at the rate of $20,000 per month for the next five years on a $1.5 million Bugatti Veyron.

By my calcs he's going to be spending 1.6 million for that lease...you'd think he'd be able to just throw down a payment in full...

I think the Veyrons are going for a lot more than "sticker" price.

A dealer put a new one on Ebay a while ago; I viewed the auction while it was still on, and the current bid was $1.7 million and the reserve had not yet been met. I forgot to check to see how it ended.

solid- my understanding is that if you buy a "New" one you pay one million euro and you travel to france to do the contract. You have to qualify "not just have money but pass a background check"

am i right guys?

Sounds like the guy is financing the vehicle. The Bugatti/Bentley Dealer in Greenwich is not demanding premium prices.
