DEARBORN, June 15, 2007 - Auto analyst Jim Hall is not surprised that the new 2008 Ford Escape had a banner May, the first full month that dealers have had ample supplies of the new model.


"It's a darn good redo on an existing vehicle," said Hall of AutoPacific. "They (made) it look fresh. It drives better than the previous car did too. All of this in a vehicle that has been cost-reduced (in a way) that is pretty much transparent to the customer, which is pretty much the way you should do cars now."
