I expect to see many smart-ass comments from people who know nothing about executive compensation and the vital need for companies to keep their top performers; however, having said that, I am disturbed about the big money car companies have paid out over the years for skilled incompetence. I believe that the losers among car companies have been ravaged by a corporate culture that rewards masters of internal politics, B.S. artists who believe that strong marketing hype trumps technical excellence, and non-technical financial types who are penny wise but pound foolish. Does that just about sum it up?
