General Motors Co., which is fighting about 60 customer lawsuits over demands for money for faulty cars, asked a federal court in Texas not to allow a group of customers to gather information from the company on its handling of ignition switch defects, according to a filing.A bankruptcy judge reviewing the suits has said he would consider requests to gather material from GM as he decides on whether the car owners' key demands are lawful.
