 General Motors Co. is delaying the launch of its Chevrolet in-car app shop indefinitely.

Phil Abram, GM chief infotainment officer, said the Chevrolet AppShop, which the Detroit-based automaker announced in January, did not meet the company's expectations to launch this summer.

"The app shop didn't meet our customer experience expectations, and so we've delayed the introduction of it," Abram said during a media event to mark the beginning of the 4G LTE at Eastern Market in Detroit
