GM Will unveil Hummer H4 Concept in Detroit
GM will launch a Hummer H4 concept at the upcoming Detroit Auto Show. As rumored before the new Hummer will compete with the Jeep Wrangler and other like sized vehicles. Late September of this year Bob Lutz, Vice Chairman, told reporters at the opening of Hummer’s new dealership in Paris. “Hummer needs some more products. It needs two or three more products to give it sufficient market coverage.” A production model of the H4 will likely be ready for production in the 2010 model year. Note: Image is not what the H4 concept will look like, it’s just a image we came across on the internet.

I despise all hummers.
besides that fact, i hope the H4 does not even remotely resemble that random "image" they came across. I honestly belive it is uglier than that retarded chinese attempt of a sports car that is a few posts down.

Hummers were designed for two reasons, to make lowered Honda Civic/Accord drivers very angry and to deplete the worlds oil supply ASAP.

Hummer is already ugly and now this is even uglier. What's the purpose of this now?

Let me guess, you guys would rather have a new SUV model from BMW, MB, Land Rover or Lexus. They get the same gas mileage or less than most large American SUV's. And if you look at it based on cost of fuel, it is generally less due to the fact that you are paying for premium rather than regular unleaded.

the hummer h3 usually gets around 7-10 mpg according to owners.
to put it onto perespective, coolio (that rapper-type person) gave up his hummer because of the fuel bills.
no european SUV gets as bad mpg as the hummer, and it truely is a terrible vehicle. it represents all that is bad about the world, america in particular.

Coolio gave up his hummer because he ain't had a hit this century. Also, check the EPA ratings. H3 does not get 10mpg unless of course I am driving it.

I rather get the Land Rover Sport with the 3.6 V8 turbo diesel, more fuel efficient than the Hummer H2 and more torque than the gasoline H2, don't really know if they offer a diesel H2. But I prefer it because it looks more sporty and is a more exclusive brand to me.

You want sporty and people who buy a Hummer want a more manly approach. Just like Arnie. I am not defending I am simply stating.

I know Arnie dumped all his Hummers but he had to do that to get re-elected so it really does count. Come on Bennett, let's party.

I love Hummers, did you know it wastes more energy to dispose of and make and Toyota Prius than a Hummer H2? Hummer does an excellent job at doing what it's meant to do; be an offroading car company. And by their sales, Americans do not hate Hummers.

Actually, the old G-wagon only got 13mpg (I'm assuming city), the H2 gets 16/20mpg.
The last M3 got 16/23mpg (not exactly a shining example of European frugality), and it was an I6.
The SLR gets 13/18mpg.
Yeah, it's all America's fault. I'm sure the reason why the French and German gov'ts are such panzies is because of Uncle Sam too.
So take your European BS and blow it out your ass.

My numbers were EPA for all vehicles. In reality, the H2's mileage does suck royally (from what I found about 11mpg combined). However, the same can be said about the rest if all their numbers are relative.
Here's a good link.

I honestly think that most of the people reading and entering opinions on this site do not know all that much about trucks/SUV’s and what there intended uses are and why some people even buy them. To many of you people need to get out into the real world or at least do some real research otherwise shut up. (And as in research I don’t mean going to one or two web sites. I mean going to about 20.)
None of you are mentioning the Ford Expedition that gets 12 MPG or the Explorer and the Nissan Armada that gets 16/18 at best. And let’s not forget the full size Lexus that gets 14/16.
HELLO GET A CLUE.

No mid to large SUV gets good gas mileage, aerodynamics. Small ones can get decent mpg but then you sacrifice space.
