H&R Audi R8
Audi’s new sports car amazes all experts with its composure and balance. It seems to be the first choice for drivers looking for a real sports car suitable for everyday use. Naturally, the balancing act between performance and comfort also requires a willingness to compromise.
Thus positioned, the supercar from Ingolstadt did not quite succeed in lapping the Nordschleife in 8 minutes during a first test although it was said to have quite some potential left. The suspension specialist H&R from Lennestadt now offers the perfect solution for the ambitious driver: a sport spring kit, bringing the mid-engine sports car’s front 15 mm and its rear a whole 30 mm closer to the tarmac. Not only resulting in an even better look, but also in an improved performance. Thanks to the H&R components, the Audi’s lap time could now be pushed under 8 minutes. It may even rival the Ferrari F430 whose engine delivers about 70 hp more.
But the best is yet to come: equipped with the H&R spring kit, the Audi R8 is absolutely suitable for everyday use and still comfortable. Many years of experience with endurance racing on the Nordschleife have produced an advantage in development with a positive influence on the production of H&R’s road products.

Dont' worry, they did not spend billions on that issue. And I really doubt dropping the car will make its ride smoother on a regular street. Faster on the track, yeah, for sure.

RICEMASTER, make peace with german cars for once. You really don't wanna miss out on them for the rest of your life...you owe yourself that much!

OK, I do agree with you on having to clean the wheels every other day but that's the trade off you get for having 11.8" rotors from a 325Ci respond and feel better than 14" rotors from a G37. I own both so you can't argue with me there.
The G37 is very sporty but does lack a little refinement. The engine is nowhere near as smooth as BMW's and the shifter vibrates to the point where it annoys me a little bit. The clutch engagement isn't very predictable either. It handles better than my 2001 325Ci but certainly not better than a 335i...I'd give it a close call with that but the 335i rides and drives better still. Don't get me wrong, the G37 is a lot of fun and offers a lot for the price you pay, but I want you to realize that every car has flaws and I'm not embarrassed to admit it even on the one that I own.
For those that might question why I didn't buy the 335i, I simply wanted to switch it up and try something new...

This car still looks incredible, of course, but I hate those rims. They ruin the effect. They would look better on an F430.

The wheels look alright on that car. they are NOT the stock factory wheels that come on it.....i should know, i seen about 10 R8's out here at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway during a test/show off in February '07. They had a few of them here on permit to do some testing and cruised the strip. I was EXTREMELY fortunate to have the opportunity to ride in one of them around the track on the infield of the speedway. And let me tell you this, it rides so much better than the F430. It is very smooth and responsive. You can barely hear the engine from inside the cockpit.
Best experience of my life!!!
