Over the years we've driven and read a lot about the Toyota Prius. There's good reason as it is a big seller and many of its buyers are tremendously loyal to the nameplate.

Whether you ask a New York City cabbie or a suburban working mom about their Prius, nine times out of 10 it's going to be positive feedback that many people agree "Nothing goes wrong with them!"

But that doesn't mean there aren't things people would want to change.

A lot of that frustration came down to the interior. While there's no question Toyota brought its "A" game with the third-gen Prius, it has become quite dated over the past couple of years. Now with the 2016 Prius, the company has emphasized that it has made substantial changes.

But, if we're honest — and you know we are — after looking at the photos of the 2016 model year car, we do have to say it looks similar to the current-gen Chevrolet Volt. And, that's not a good thing.

That's why we have to ask: Did Toyota COMPLETELY rip off the interior of the Chevrolet Volt for the 2016 Prius? And, if you believe so, WHY?

The Prius’ new, premium interior adopts advanced technology complemented by features that are functional, fun and have high visual impact. The wrap-around dash design, form-hugging seats, ease of controls and improved visibility put the driver in complete control.
