Acura doesn't have a single model the isn't down by double digits. This is a brand in trouble.

Looks like the new Accord and CRV are doing the job. The rest of the brand is pretty flat or down. The luxury segment is getting hit pretty hard right now. Many people are moving down market due to the current economic climate.

The acura trucks are pretty ugly. People will only pay so much for and for so long for an unattractive vehicle. Acura, in general has been very stale in regards to bringing new vehicles into the market.

The Odyssey is the number 1 selling minivan in the US - pretty good on a segment that's shrinking

You should do a little research considering chrysler owns the minivan market still.

I think he did look it up it was on TOV Odyssey #1 selling minivan just like the CRV is now #1 selling SUV. And to the haters that say Infiniti has a higher price point bull every Acura starts about if not higher than every Infiniti in it's class, and Acura reliability is still above and beyond Infiniti's and that is why they are selling more.
Went to a car show this weekend and I am convinced driving dynamics aside every Infiniti other than the M is subpar. Steering wheels are small and materials inside cheap. Example G sedan with a mesh map holder on rear seat how tacky, and the EX35 was on display I am not to impressed with the RDX either but I have to say it still looks better than the EX and this is my honest opion because I actually seen it in person and when more of you do your opions will change also.

I wouldn't be surprised if Infiniti surpasses Acura in sales within the next few years. Infiniti is being very aggressive in marketing and product offerings, plus they have been going global the past few years.

Pilot sales is dropping because poeple are anticipating the new 2009 to arrive in May, 2008. Besides, sales have been strong on GM trios (Outlook, Arcadia, and Enclave), Mazda CX-9 and Toyota HighLander (CUVs).

Yes Chrysler has the Voyager and Caravan, but Honda sold more Ody's than Caravan in the last month or two - that's big news considering Chrysler 'owned' this market much more 10 years ago.

Oh forgot about the T& C too, follow the link above and some posters also point out that alot of Chrysler minivan sales goes to fleet sales, where as Ody's fleet sales are around 1.6% of total sales.

Not hard to see why Acura sales are dropping. Everything they sell is based on some variant of the Honda Accord platform. There is no point in buying a RL over a TL and now for 08 no point in buying an TL over an top of the line Accord. The best Acura is the TL-S which is no match for the G35 or 335i. Acura is pointless, bargain basement luxury wannabe wares for the uninformed. Very nice Hondas. Fortunately for them a new TL and TSX are due in 08, both as 09' models so they won't go completely down the tubes.
