Well if you guys have been keeping up with Hyundai, you all know that the Korean company is working on a new coupe that will be built on the rear-wheel-drive platform of the Genesis. Well new information has just surfaced about Hyundai’s so called Infiniti G37 competitor.

According to a source from inside Hyundai said that the car will be the second, after Genesis, to use the company’s rear-wheel-drive platform...

will ... what are you talking bout? THe G won 1 comparison test, and mostly due to price and the BMW test car overheated. Then in the next comparion, BMW won even though the G was less ( in that one the G had issues with 4 wheel steering & engine ) ... The 335 is larger, faster, more storeage, stops faster & more feel, more solid ..... The G should be compared to the 1 series ...

To Hyundai ... wtf? they absolutely kill me how they think that anyone would compare that tiburon to a G37. There is no comparison. It does provide me a laugh though

Someone wants to drive Hyundais! They are the 6th largest company in the world as well as setting their own sales records each month. I do not particularly care for them, but there are a lot of people out there that do. Not everyone can afford a G37 or a 3 Series BMW

First they compare their Azera to Lexus LS.
Then they compare their Sonata to BMW 5 series.
Then they compare their SantaFe to Landrover.
Then they compare their Veracruze to Lexus RX.
and Now this.

Don't get me wrong. I'm Korean but they should have followed what Toyota did with Lexus and make a luxury brand before they compare their cars to one.

Aren't they supposed to be Kia's "luxury" brand?

Hwany, you really made me log in...
I think, when you make your comments on something, you better study and make it right! Being a Korean doesn't make your comment persuasive.

In your comparison, there are a lot of mismatches...
Azera vs. Lexus ES350
Veracruz vs. Lexus RX350
Sonata vs. Honda Accord & Camry
Those are the cars Hyundai claimed they have targeted during its development.

If you are not aware of these simple benchmarks, I strongly recommend you to stay soundless.

I can't wait to see the commercial of the guy pulling up to a G37 at the light and they nod" Picture this he leaves the G37 driver in dust lusting over his Hyundai. This is getting ridiculous when will this madness stop, before they go after luxury brands you think they would first try to take down Honda and Toyota which even that they can't do. LOL

No, offense, I think Hyundai is NOT already to take on BMW, Lexus, Audi, MB, Acura and Infiniti yet. They need a premium brand and work on their reliability and quality of their cars.

No, in their right mind would pay, $32k-$45K+ for an Kia or Hyundai when they can get a BMW, Audi, MB, Lexus, Infiniti or an Acura for the same price.

I'm not sure what Kia or Hyundai advertise team has been Smoking...but it got to be to Really Good Stuffs. Because lately they have come up some of the most ridiculus comparison I have ever seen.

Even Lexus, when it was first came out, it did not compare directly with the German brands. It was only recently recognize by the auto ethusiast and fanboy to be on par or superior the German brands.

Again, not sure what they are Smokin....but It got to be some really good stuff; I was wondering if they would gave a puff while they are at it, do you think they let me?

sarcastic.....gee...what were they thinking?

Kia and Hyundai if you're reading this, I will NEVER buy your cars for myself or anyone in my family. I will get Lexus, Acura, Infiniti, BMW, Audi or a MB instead.

How many Hooked up Hondas do you see? How many hooked up G35/ 350 Z do you see? Now how Hyundais do you see? Not too many. The Others above have JDM following and major aftermarket support.

People drive Hyundais, because they have too, not because they want to. Hyundai needs to get that thru their heads.

ps1982, you the only person here is you LoSer........, what dweeb.

The thing about walmart they sales stuff for cheap but the merchanise is not a car. The Hyundai and Kia brand broke down all the time, even with the brand model.

I'm sorry if you drive a Kia and Hyundai and it broke all the time, I don't blame you for being mad.

The Hyundai Genesis sedan and new RWD Tiberon coupe will be smash hits because of one reason:
Low cost.

My wife drives a 2006 Azera... I myself drive a 1977 Mini-Cooper 'S'.
We did not choose the car cause we are lower class Americans. Why did CR (Consumer Report) rate it one point behind the Toyota Avalon?
Says something about the car that saved me $3800 over a Avalon that was equally equipped.

So it all falls back on Marketing hype. You must give Hyundai some credit at poking commercials at the 'big dogs.'No other car company has done it and I bet a lot will follow with pointing there car is better than another Make & Model.

Also if Hyundai isn't a player why has a few manufactures went to the 100,000 mile Warranty? Who started that? So it seems some little Korean company has some good ideas that are being followed!

After all there are plenty of you that seem to amazingly remember every new Hyundai commercial! So they maybe dumb to those. But damn does it make a impact on society's marketing!

Cheers...

^^^No Hyundai went that route because they knew that people would not keep their cars for a long time, they would trade in, or should we say trade up. I know people who drive or used to drive Hyundais (I myself used to drive a Ford Taurus which I nicknamed "Birth-Control"). At the time and still now, Hyundai made very cheaply put together cars. You use Consumer Reports, well just look at the Euro mags ratings and how they tear Hyundai apart from axle to axle. That is because they have higher standards for their cheap cars (aka "shitboxes"---as echeoed in the 1-series thread).

The US does not, we think that if a car comes with some shiny parts, a decent radio, cup-holders, 100,000 mile warranty, that damn, we've made it to the promise land!

As far as PS1982K, marketing can only get you so far, just look at the VW Phateon. They advertised as being a cheaper alternative than the A8, 7 series, S-Class, and the Lexus LS. But nobody was willing to pay 70k for a VW, and Hyundai needs to price their Luxury sedan carefully to avoid the same mistake.

Walmart is good, but has some serious problems internally. Plus, your not going to find AIr Jordans at Walmart, are you? Walmart has the everyday good that that one "needs" ( toilet paper, deodorant, etc) which is good. They just don't have the goods that many people "want" (Jordans, great lawnmowers, exceptional weight equipment, AIr Max's, etc.)

G37 trumps the 3 series coupe, and what is this car now being compared, what? what? A Hyundai RWD. Wow i heard that the car is very underpowered, fat, corners like a troll, and what is that face... ugh.. the most horrifying car, very sorry, but no way that i will have that car from Hyundai in my dream while i am in front of a G37.
