Hyundai Sales Rise 11% in June
Hyundai Motor America announced sales of 49,368 vehicles for the month, which was Hyundai's all- time, anytime, record sales month. Hyundai sales are up 12 percent month-over-month and 11 percent over last June on the strength of the growing Hyundai model line up.
Hyundai's all-new 2007 Santa Fe continued it strong pace with an increase over June 2006 of 37 percent, followed closely by Sonata which experienced a 28 percent sales increase. Our 2007 fuel-efficient Elantra kept the momentum going in its segment increasing sales 8 percent over June 2006, along with the Entourage that more than doubled its sales over the same period last year.
"The first half of 2007 was the most successful in Hyundai history," said Dave Zuchowski, vice president, National Sales, Hyundai Motor America. "Our second quarter sales rebounded strongly and resulted in first half sales which were up 1 percent over record 2006 levels. We are encouraged by this strong momentum and are well positioned for continued growth in the second half."

It's also alot more than BMW and Land Rover, whom Hyundai also claim as competitors, which by default means it's also alot more than Mercedes and Audi, which are natural competitors to THEIR competitors as well.

Who isn't after Lexus? They're #1 in the most important automotive market in the world.
Although any self-respecting poster here on this site has to be aware that Hyundai and Lexus are not in the same genre of automakers. One is a Korean company whose focus is cheap economy cars, the other is a Japanese company whose focus is luxury cars.

I'm telling you guys.....these are the guys to be afraid of. Just 2 yrs ago I laughed at the idea of a Hyundai even sharing the road with me. Now I'm eating my words....they're nice everyday cars.

What are you guys blind or just playing dumb. Look at the numbers from the other articles posted, Hyundai is almost 100k cars behind Honda (the company they like to bite) and probally 180k or more behind Toyota.
Hyundai is junk they will never see Lexus and if I'm still on this site in 2 years, I can say I told you so.
I understand true enthusiatics like the fact they have RWD coming and V8 but who cars if your going to be in the shop every month, Acura doesn't even consider Hyundai in their path when they are talking about cars. There products are usually geared after BMW, hint the new MDX and RDX.
So stop living a fantasy fellas and come back to realality that Hyundai sucks!

What area are you in because in case you havn't noticed Honda is more reliable than them all. Including the UK Honda and Toyota have always been there in terms of reliability, I never here Hyundai's name mention although they are improving.

Im liviin the M.E. Some hondas here have their issues, like my relatives CRV which has a suspension problem. Its a 2006 model. But maybe your right, it may depend on the area..
